Even those who can "enjoy" their alcohol responsibly are still using an extremely powerful, dangerous and highly addictive drug. The fact that most people don't get addicted doesn't change that reality. It's so dangerous that it puts more people in hospital emergency rooms than any illegal, street drug. It's so addictive that it's the most lethal drug to detox from. Global societies have accepted one of the worst and most destructive drugs to normalize, encourage,celebrate and market. It's shameful, especially when considering the stigma associated with addiction and the number of regular drinkers that are comfortable demonizing people who use "drugs" because they've convinced themselves that alcohol isn't a drug.
