Finding a survivable place to exist geographically might only be half the battle because most rural people pray at the alter of the orange messiah. What good is finding a region where we can survive/escape natural disaster if the people that are already inhabiting the region don't like your skin color, sexual preference, politics, religion ect? I suspect most rural residents are among our fine country's most heavily armed and have stockpiled their tremendously powerful guns and ammo in preparation for the arrival of their perceived enemies. Those people will not acknowledge climate change if they can't find it in themselves to pass common sense laws to help prevent the murder of our country's children by gun violence in schools. Our human issues and climate issues seem intertwined.
