I can't think of any presidents that I supported unconditionally, but Obama probably came the closest. He was the only president in my lifetime that I actually felt proud of. I didn't agree with every word that came out of his mouth and I sure as hell wouldn't get a custom portrait of him painted on my vehicle or build an Obama shrine in my yard, but the difference between him and trump was stark. One man's words terrified and embarrassed me, and one's impressed me and, at least made me feel hopeful. His eloquence was calming.
As a tribal citizen, I was gravely disappointed when he sat on his hands over the situation at Standing Rock........trump reversed Barack's ruling and helped his fossil fuel buddies immediately after being sworn in.
(I was also furious with his decision to try and make nice with politicians who hated his guts)
I admired Jimmy Carter, but I was a young teen during his administration.
