I love this message, even as I close in on 60 years of age. Please consider though, some of us have no choice but to endure the grind. My cube isn't fulfilling, but it's my only source of income. I do not chase wealth, but one simply cannot exist in this world without enough income to survive. (Unless we're born into wealth.) For those like me, learning to be content in the cube, is the best we can do. Having money for rent, fuel/car maintenance, groceries & utilities is mandatory, and if you're struggling to cover any of those financial costs, it's pretty hard to be at peace. I read a lot of articles from writers that love to tell readers that money isn't important. That simply isn't true. Wealth isn't important, but try telling any struggling person that's driving an uninsured car with a broken windshield wiper and bald tires that money isn't important and they will probably look at you like you're from a different planet. I would love to walk away from the cold-blooded, corporate entity I work for and travel to Cambodia or Costa Rica to retire, but I would need to pay for it somehow.
