I loved reading this! Age though. When I was in my mid 40s, I was able to go from 260 pounds to 200 pounds by just hitting the gym 5 times a week and making very small adjustments to my diet. The quantity of food stayed the same but I switched to sugar free soft drinks an less chocolate from the Snack Time box at work. Fast forward to my mid 50s and that formula wasn’t happening. My metabolism doesn’t process calories the same way. I regained the weight over the years through neglect, but I did go from 270 to 190 this time. Unfortunately, not without drastically changing my approach. 😬 I don’t expect my experience to be universal, however age might play a factor for some people. I can still cheat and have a nice big dessert now and then, but maintaining this weight is a challenge at 57.
