I recently returned to the western Michigan area after living in Chicagoland for 7 years, and it seems people here no longer have a choice if they wish to take in anything other than conservative talk radio. I guess Clear Channel has purchased most regional stations and replaced programming with Limbaugh like, hard-right opinion radio. No more Thom Hartmann, Bill Press, David Packman or Stephanie Miller type personalities. I like the idea of being able to take a break from the shit-show, but seeing how progressive voices are being intentionally silenced, scares the hell out of me! . Bad things happened in my home state while I was away! 😭 ( I feel more knowledgeable after listening to Thom Hartmann than I do after watching anything on MSNBC)
