I value my Medium membership and mention it to friends and family members all the time. I appreciate talented writers. Though some of my favorites have gone elsewhere, I can usually dig around and find new talent. Unfortunately, some writers I've discovered fail to get noticed and just disappear. (And some less talented writers succeed by aggressive promotion and clickbait headlines)
