I was diagnosed at 56, 2 years ago after landing in the ER and a two week hospital stay. A Humira type infusion got me out of the hospital, but 3 things really changed for me since being released. My appetite is gone, I have chronic nausea and I now have a sleep disorder. Cannabis has gone a long way to restoring my quality of life with regards to my nausea and appetite loss, but the lack of sleep is starting to catch up to me. This is not anxiety related insomnia. I fall asleep easily, but the time I remain sleeping keeps going down. It didn’t bother me at all at first, because my energy levels weren’t affected, but it’s been 2 years now and I can only stay asleep for 3 to 4 hours a night. I’m forgetting about entire days throughout the week. I haven’t been able to unearth much information about this specific condition. Nothing I can find matches what I’m going through and it’s very frustrating. I’m not experiencing major sttess, manage to stay fit, don’t drink and maintain a healthy, colitis friendly diet, but these days of 20 plus waking hours are getting hard to navigate. Any suggestions on where I might learn more about how to address this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
