If she was simply going through the motions, she fooled a lot of people. (She had Clapton jamming along for one performance.) I know it's a simple 1-4-5 progression in F sharp, but it spoke to diehard, blues guitar people as well as pop radio listeners. I 100% appreciate her talent on other songs, but it seems harsh to dismiss her efforts on that tune. She knocked that song out of the park and it's amazing. Success doesn't usually follow those who "simply go through the motions" but freakishly talented people can carve a 3 chord progression into a beautiful sculpture!
