I'm living and working in MAGA country, a small town in northern Michigan, and most of my coworkers are becoming emboldened by their certainty that their orange messiah will regain power. Despite written company policy that forbids outward hostility and offensive language towards the gay community, they're getting much louder and more aggressive with their chest-thumping and manly homophobia. This would be a horrible and hostile place to work for any gay or trans person and it's not even November yet. (Most haven't resolved the trauma they suffered when their n-bombs were canceled during the Obama administration)
