I'm not in your field, but my experience has been identical. I had plenty of interest just a few years ago, but once I started getting close to 60, interest decreased noticeably. Now that I'm 61, I just expect to be ignored. I'm working a menial/low skilled job because I can't survive without income, but I'm still trying. Learning to be at peace emptying trash cans when I used to travel the world isn't easy work.
