Legit!!! I think a lot of us waded in those terrifying waters. Tragically, the suicide choice isn't uncommon. I lost a very close person who battled addiction for so many years; multiple rehabilitation centers, detoxes and life-saving emergency room visits. He started so young and wasn't able to see any light or find any peace. Torment greeted him during sobriety and drunkenness. He was my 1st cousin and I loved him like a brother. Reading your essay made me realize that the reason I probably feel possessed to read so many stories about addiction and recovery is (at least in part) to honor his memory and most importantly, his struggle. Those of us that find our way out of the darkness need to remain very humble and compassionate. ❤️❤️❤️
See? Your moment of inspiration..... the impulse that moved you to write this article, gave me a lot of useful nuggets to process!
Thanks for sharing! (And keep rocking the healing) ✌️
