Thanks for the critical reminder that universal approaches are unhelpful. If I did push-ups and drank a glass of filtered urine every other day for 52 weeks, and my cravings went away, it must be the key, and therefore work for everyone! As a person that overcame a life-threatening addiction to alcohol, and quit smoking, I also developed an unhealthy relationship with eating. Internal Family Systems and meditation have been super helpful, but I recognize the binge eating as a tentacle of my main addiction. Smaller, less threatening addictions are still lurking......like caffeine and soft drinks, so the plant therapy is quite interesting to me.
