Thanks for writing about this because I have struggled with it. I actually started on Medium using my real name and changed to a pseudonum after I discovered the addiction articles! Lol. I’m slowly coming out, but I wish I was as bulletproof as a celebrity or person that had their own practice or owned their own business. Many of us can’t relate to having that kind of power. Everyday people like me have more to lose by making “alcoholic” part of their public identity. There are real consequences. I’m comimg to the surface nevertheless because I already survived a cataclysmic life and I kind of have a king-sized chip on my shoulder now. 😛✌
