Usually, the frequency of stressful and screwed up days, diminishes as we grow stronger too. I'm 3 and a half years in, and I still have my share of less-than-perfect days, but the absence of drunkenness definitely makes a difference. Meditation can be extremely helpful in preventing stressful days altogether, as well as keeping bad days from getting worse. Avoiding and skillfully managing stress seems vital to most of us that have struggled or continue to struggle with addiction.
