Why is it that once people “bite” and choose to start prcocessing a conspiracy theory as fact, they seem to get to a point of no return? They cling. I don’t know ONE PERSON that got suckered into believing Barack Obama was a secret gay, Muslim (Born in Kenya) communist that was going to confiscate everyone’s guns, declare sharia law and march the elderly off to death camps, that ever recovered. No contrition, no acknowledgement that they BELIEVED AND SPREAD a lie themselves, no anger at all toward the perpetrators or manufacturers of the lies, no remorse. They just easily processed even more outrageous lies. It’s the same with the q continuum. And it’s also shocking to witness how, once people get suckered, they seem forever vulnerable to every insane conspiracy that presents itself!!! They are now willing to believe in ANYTHING. The media isn’t helping I know, ( Hell, even the History Channel) but has it has been so demonized and discredited that people are convinced that a legitimate, reported reality no longer exists? I know some people that are “gone”. Not coming back anytime soon either!!! Ugh.
